Thank you very much for the video, it's explained really well. I don't know if there's a way through RankMath to remove the configured permalink (in my case, "/blog/") on the location pages when you activate the Local SEO functionality.

In my case, I also have other Custom Post Types (CPT) that I can configure to remove the "/blog/" slug, but in the case of locations, I can't.

However I have some question about SEO. I will try to describe this as good as I can.I am positioning a website by the phrase "best steel knife". On the website I created a couple of subpages. One of the pages has the name "Best steel knife". The moment I point it in wordpress as the home page this url or otherwise slug disappears. In that case, can Google bots see this slug best-steel-knife? What is the best way to deal with this issue on the website?

Commenters are way over thinking this. I'll break it down, not saying I'm then end all be all on the topic but I hope it helps:

Using the /blog/ prefix - Best for sites that have another core service. Like an ecommerce site should use /blog/post-title/ so your posts are not a random page on your site. But if you use /blog/ on your blog it's fine.

Using /categories/post-title/ is great for huge websites. We're talking sites like the Penny Hoarder with thousands (not hundreds) of blog posts.

The /blog/category/post-title structure is a bit long.

Don't use dates unless you're running a news website with time sensitive content.

In short use /post-title/ or /blog/post-title/ or /category/post-title/ and stop over thinking this.

Question: I'm curious why these structure methods aren't mentioned in the video, or if there are any benefits?

This looks like the structure you're using:
1. Using a /blog/ prefix instead of the typical "Post name" WordPress permalink option (e.g. site/blog/the-post/ instead of site/the-post/)
2. Not using categories for individual posts (seen above)
3. Using the /category/ prefix plus the category name (instead of just using the category name alone)

Thank you! I`ve got a few things I didn`t know about permalinks! But still can`t solve the problem(((( My website is new. It is indexing, as google told me) but if I search for my post, putting the title in google search - I see the correct permalink and description, but instead of a title, I see name of my website (wellnesstalk) - . ((( I rechecked all settings and I am using rank math for watching what the title will look like. It seems correct, but in search - any ideas on how to improve that? I'm working on a site that has chosen: /%category%/%postname%/

I'm rebuilding their sitemap. How important is it for me to maintain /%category%/%postname%/ custom post permalinks? How much will I break if I use Postname in the new build? It's hard for me to sort this out.

Hey, I'm using a category in the permalink. During a post, rank math is making me confused when I click on the edit snippet option. The title and Permalink are not showing me the same SEO strength. Either I have to use a long title to strengthen the title SEO and avoid the permalink SEO or the second option is to avoid the title SEO and use a short permalink. Due to this, post-SEO is not strengthening. Why rank math counts the whole permalink including site, category, and title. It is telling me to shorten the permalink even though I can't make it even more shorter. I only use 3-4 words which are not enough and it starts hurting the SEO. Please advise. Thank you

Superb content. In regards to product categories, when removing the parent path do you recommend redirecting the additional URLs that wordpress creates when you add the category to its parent? Isn't this technically duplicate content?
