How to Change the Link Structure in WordPress (Permalinks)

To change the permalinks,
Go to WordPress dashboard ► Settings ► Permalinks
Change the option from ‘Plain’ to ‘Post name’ and click ‘save changes’.
And now the permalink of all your pages will be changed.
Now, if you open any blog post on your site,
You can see the link of your blog post has also changed and shows the name of the post.
So, once you’ve chosen ‘Post name’ in permalink settings,
Along with the pages, the links of all your blog posts will also be changed.
This makes it more user-friendly and better for SEO.

To change the permalink of any particular post on your website
Open your post which you want to change.
Now click ‘Edit post’ from WordPress settings.
To change the permalink of your post, just click the title of the post.
As soon as you click it, you can see the permalink of the post.
So to change it, click ‘Edit’ & then enter the text you want.
Once you’ve made the changes, click ‘update’.

I have updated to Wordpress 5.5.3 and used custom structure with categories and post name in permalink settings. Issue is that for page it doesn’t show category. Help would be much appreciated
