Prune indoor strawberries every year. (Here’s how)

Today I will go over pruning strawberry plants indoors. Cutting back strawberry plants is necessary to simulate winter indoors for healthier and bigger strawberries.

That would drive me INSANE having all of the dead leaves all over 😂 I’m OCD and even if my leaf has a couple spots on it I prune it off the plant.
I’ve been growing strawberries hydroponically a couple of times now and they do absolutely excellent once you get them going, at first the strawberries are small then overtime they start getting bigger and producing more. Also I noticed my strawberries liked a higher EC then what’s recommended for them, with the higher nutrients they tasted it 10 times better as well, so sweet and juicy! I’m not sure why you’re trying to replicate winter for your strawberries though? They will produce year-round and Hydroponics, at least they do for me.

Have you tried breaking the crowns apart when they get too congested? Strawberries in soil require this every 3-4 years to maintain their healthy production
