Zdeno Chara's vicious hit on Max Pacioretty 09/03/11

This video isn't about bruins vs Habs, French vs english, Canada vs Usa it's not even about Chara. It's about the incompetance and lack of responsability of the league.

What happened has to be severly punished AS ALL of the other mentionned incident in the past! It's not a contest on what hit was stronger or anything like that: it's about for ALL OF THIS to stop and to be consequently punished when stuff like that happen.

you're right, he didn't press charges, cause it happened on the ice so the cops shouldn't have to deal with the incident, but Pacioretty also said that he was disgusted that the NHL didn't suspend Chara, and you know what I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIM.

Max diserved that blow by Chare. He had pestered Chare a few games back and since then Chare has been waiting to get his hands on him. This is how karma works in the eyes of a giant.

I am glad the Bell Centre did some redesigning to the arena to make it a bit safer for all the players involved. It is a fine mix of grace and brutality, mind you, but that's a hit that blurred the line a little.
And this is coming from a Bruins fan, if you can believe it...

Chara knew what he was doing, after 13 years of experience in NHL you know where you are on the ice, those 2 had previous history together, he knew who he was hitting, and the fact that Chara never EVER looked back at Paccioretty makes it look like he expected him to drop unconcious on the ice. sry 4 my bad english

perhaps the league should consider removing the glass around the time keeper's bench... this is definately not the fist time someone has almost died on that part of the rink.
