There’s probably three eras that could have best of lists. Those made during the actual war, obviously for morale purposes. Those made in the immediate post war era like 1950s-1970s. And then the modern production era.

The reviewer must be fairly young, because most of the movies chosen are fairly recent, with the exception of Patton. I can't believe A Bridge Too Far didn't make it into the top ten. A brilliant movie.

People need to know about Come and See!
It’s a Soviet WW2 movie about the German occupation of Belarus and, while it may not be graphic, it’s still a disturbing watch. The movie plays as if it’s a psychological horror movie, but it’s pretty accurate in showing the horrors of war from a young man’s perspective.
