He is the greatest living scientific mind on the planet. It is no small feat to occupy the chair once occupied by Sir Isaac Newton. He deserves to have every moment of his life chronicled and archived for our benefit.  I am happy that it has become a beautiful romamtic story.

:l, are you kidding me? Based of the trailer this is going to be one of the least historically accurate films of all time. Stephen Hawking didn't come up with the idea of black holes, he only contributed to helping understand them, and not alone. As far as I know he had nothing to do with the Big Bang, if he did help with our understanding of it he played a very minor role. Stephen Hawking is famous because of his disability, and because he wrote two popular science books. Among the general public he's considered the genius of our generation, among physicists he's not considered to be even close to one of the most intelligent or most important physicists alive today. He's not a bad physicist, but comparing him to Einstein, Newton, or Feynman is laughable.
