Thanks for the video. I was going to go with the either black magic or stick with canon, since I've started out learning on my xl2s, however, after listening to what most producers prefer to own themselves, I'm convinced the Sony f700 is the way to go.

I just got a Pelican 1650not long ago with pick n pluck. Think I might have to get the divider style also. I'd already planned on getting the top storage compartment - this is the second video I've seen it and it looks awesome.

Allow me to jump in here, first i have to say, i'm no way an audio expert, but I did have the same questions about G3 a while ago.
The answer is one transmitter will only work with one receiver (at least on this system). There are other receivers that can work with two transmitters simultaneously, but it's one-to-one on G3 : )

Would be nice to see a full rig setup, with everything on it.

@bouchandre- Yes! It's so awesome I forgot the name! ha! Hoping you can import Lightwave objects into it. Anyway, Tony's new cam looks incredible. But I do feel he just might forget us 5Dmk2'ers after using that piece of kit! Hope not.

Great camera I agree. The slow motion a plus! A couple of questions about your gear. First, the Sennheiser G3 wireless system does (1) one receiver and (1) one transmitter can have two lavalier from two different people coming in? Or I need to buy two receivers and two transmitter to record to actors? Second, where did you find and what is the name of the pelican dividers for your 1510 case? Thank you.

Hey Tony, thanks for all you do. What workflow are you planning to use to edit the footage. It seems that FCP7 is having difficulties with it. Please keep us informed.

Sony, Azden and AudioTechnica all have dual receiver system
but i'm not sure about the quality, so you might have to do a bit research on that

I am super frustrated with my NEX-FS700!!

I have to do 8 landscape PHOTOS with this new camera and I do not know how to. I have watched all the videos and texts and read the manual but new to photography on a technical level, has left me dumbfounded!

1) Photos must be in 16x9. We have not been told how to even know where or what that setting would be.
2) 4 Landscape photos, 2 Slow shutter photos, and 2 fast shutter photos.
3) The shutter speed shots must contain motion in the film.
Slow shutter must be less than 1/30?
Fast shutter must be over 1/200?
4) We must make a shot log of our images, with the "fStop", "Focus", "Shutter speed", "Focal Length (z on the screen)", and if any "ND Filter was used".

So when I went to do my assignment I  got out in the field to do my assignment and I froze! I couldn't figure out how to slow down the shutter speed. I went to do my shot log and had little idea on what info off the screen needed to go where. I have watched all the videos for this week and I have done and highlighted all the reading. I referred to my manual but not understanding what I was trying to adjust left me not knowing which adjustments to make. I was super frustrated and got lots of pictures of which 4 I am happy with. I am going to redo the assignment tomorrow morning. Any peers have tips on how to understand the fStop, shutter, etc? I have watched and read all material required. (I have not read the entire manual, most of it).

I do not have the technical understanding and have not been shown how to do any of this other than a quick, overview of buttons and features.

Can anyone who has used this equipment help me understand what I am trying to do? I HAVE TO HAVE PHOTOS, not video.
Any help appreciated.

Would u reccomend the 24-70 or 24-105 for video? I don't always shoot with my t3i locked down on a tripod for instance and I feel having IS may be more important than having the 2.8 apature?
