A simple, lightweight, and fun bike with a basic but charismatic old school design and at an affordable price is ALL WE WANT. 😉
PS: 160kg as you said, is of course IMPOSSIBLE. ( no high end aluminium frame, and a bi is heavier than a single stroke) 180kg would already be fantastic...

Maybe Honda is "floating" the rumor, to gather feedback. I'd buy a 2025 "87 XL600R" in a heartbeat. Not the Africa or European versions though. The US version.

I hope Honda will go a step further than usual, and won't give us a heavy 500CC of plus 200kg and just around 40 CV, please give us a simply, relative light and affordable bike. For techs and power you have Africa Twin.
