I had a honda 500XL for over a decade. It was by far the best trail bike i ever had. I crossed many rivers and incredibly difficult terrain. It never (not once) broke down on me. It refused to die.

I owned many honda xl, s over the years and to me they were some of the best bikes honda ever made. I would buy one if they make them.

Maybe Honda is "floating" the rumor, to gather feedback. I'd buy a 2025 "87 XL600R" in a heartbeat. Not the Africa or European versions though. The US version.

If it's kept simple and basic away from the high tech gadgets and cheap plastic, It will be a hit and I m buying one immediately.

Please keep all the complicated “tech” away from this one! EFi and ABS is fine but for the love of God please give us front and rear ABS disabling with one button or switch, tubeless spoked wheels, decent suspension, dual front radial mounted disc brakes, a reasonable seat height (anything under 33” will do), and come in under $10K USD. BTW, a classic red white and blue paint scheme with gold rims is a must!

In fact, if Honda just made a production run of several thousand PARTS for the 83-87 XL600R, they wouldn't even need to build new ones. Thousands who already own these classics would be happy.

Good to see Honda making a move away from the plastic fantastic, preying mantis bike style which is prevalent these days. I'll definately be interested in this new bike.

When will manufacturers Honda in particular figure out that many riders ride to disconnect and have no desire for increased connectivity… heck give me back my 1981 XL500 I’d be happy!

Echt bitter das Honda in den 70, 80, 90 die schönsten Motorräder gebaut hat, jetzt sieht alles aus wie aus Lego und die Chinesen sind auf der Überholspur. Ich hoffe die Japaner finden wieder zu Ihrem alten Spirit zurück. Geld ist nicht alles!!!
