Heh. He is the living embodiment of how it is to live with chronic illness. Sometimes, the body just does not work, regardless of what you do or what you want. If you are allowed to rest those days, you might be lucky enough to get really good days, maybe even many of them.

I am glad he found someone that has the will and ability to let him run the show and have genuinely good days, instead of pushing him to act as he is doing tolerably every single day.

My old man yorkie will be 16 in August. He's crazy, still spunky, loves car rides, getting brushed, sleeping on my legs, food, food, and food. He's been the best thing in my life since he was 8 weeks old.

I lost my senior dog on new years eve and Jonathan is so right, every day with them is so much more special the older they get. He was a 17 and had many no bones days, especially in summer, he'd follow the sun around the garden and flop over in the warm patches <3 miss him everyday
