Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is a regulator for corporate entities and investment companies in Pakistan
Recently, SECP Approves Online Account Opening for Stock Exchange Investors as a part of its digitization initiatives. Now the pakistani stock investors whether resident or non-resident, will be able to open their account online with any brockerage house of Pakistan. The endless need of documentations and signatures required for opening an account has been done away with. The whole process has been simplified and transparent.
This initiative is called framework for Digital Onboarding of Investors.
This initiative is very important and will make account opening simple and hassle free. It is hoped that this initiative will boost the investment in the stock market and ultimately will result in economic development of the country.
