Very helpful, done 3 local gigs with great results. Now I'm comfortable, was going to try back button focus for the first time ever. Your explanation was super helpful! Much appreciated!

Could use an update on this topic, with suggestions for dealing with white balance and changing lighting. New noise reduction methods, and especially video and white balance.

Thanks for the tips. I tried Back Button Focus, but just isn't working well on my Sony A7SIII. Back to Focus w/shutter, and using touch screen to move the focus point.

My top tip is to take photo on the base note, it's a dance/ choreography thing. The artists I found will be in a better position. Eg. Drummer will have sticks & head in air. Big bass drum 'boom' take shot.
