Ok here's mine

Day 1 I was sweating really badly and randomly getting dizzy

Day 2 my fever started during the night

Day 3 was scary cause I was skipping a heart beat in the morning and my fever was high and I felt so weak

Day 4 I still had fever and during the night I was breaking in cold sweat

Day 5 my fever was gone but I couldn't sleep at night

Day 6 Im fully fine everything is gone and I can sleep properly

Day 7 I don't even crave for alcohol anymore and I've been eating healthy

PS I was drinking for 5 months straight 6 to 8 king sized beer a night nothing is impossible in Jesus name and I did the withrawal alone 😊

I had 21 clinical detoxes over 25 years of alcoholic drinking. Many of the visual hallucinations I experienced were horrifying. Vikings with axes and swords both at windows, and trying to climb through a TV screen to get me, Steel bars appearing at windows, My dead Maternal Grandmother on the bedroom ceiling, An SS Officer standing at the end of my bed, with my Fathers head on a silver serving platter, and Auditory, Voices coming from radiators, road noise on a hot night, becoming a Rock concert, and my Cat speaking in French. I'm currently 9 years clean and sober.

Almost 2 years ago I had D Ts horrific to suffer alone I was hearing rock bands in my head, delerium, , cramps hallucinations, so uncomfortable and No sleep, didn't eat, it was about 8 days, my heater was playing music, was sick to my stomach, thankfully I didn't have a heart attack I had heart palpations, prolly AFib, oh my I'm glad I made it the Dr didn't give me a med for the symptoms. oh I forgot the diaphoresis. I was alone with my dogs I think my dog was worried when I had a seizure. I've hit my head hard while drinking and falling. I wish I had more help but I haven't touched the demon fluid in almost 2 years!!!😅😅my liver function was off the charts so I couldn't take the med that makes you sick if you drink.

Cirrhosis patient with ETOH dependance here, just doing some research. Was admitted to the ER today and got IV fluids and released, had positive ETOH in blood work and it seemed like they just didn't want to deal with me. Wasting away but the PA did order some Librium for me to detox at home, so I am guessing I am somewhere in the middle of the scale. Thanks for the info.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 3 liver failure and she started having seizures with her DT's when she cold Turkey-ed her drinking. They put her on 30 MG Valium per-day and she's fine now. The transplant committee says they are OK with Valium but if she takes ONE DRINK she will NEVER get a liver! ASK YOUR DR. FOR VALIUM (30mg PD) if your having uncontrollable withdrawals!

I think it's only me. I'm on my 3rd night and didn't get normal sleep, but when i look at my phone to pass the time it's like i passed out. I hold my phone and always dropped it like I'm falling asleep, but when i look at the time it's the exact minutes. And that happened several times now. It's like a blackout, but for a second

My son 43 called me Sunday night around midnight saying he was checking in Detox. Said they were taking his ph for four day’s He tells me he’s been getting sick for the last five Or six years if he didn’t drink. He said he has to have Twenty beers to keep the sickness away. So this also comes at a point that he’s had to drive himself to the ER a week ago. And after tell the ER doctor that he was having severe pain in his left arm and in his neck. Sunday night he’s telling me he had to return to the ER Friday night with severe pain again in his chest with high blood pressure also.

My thoughts that possibly this might be a little too much after having his heart problems.

This is the dude you don’t want when presenting at the ER. Someone that is more concerned with the etymology of his practice than the actual condition of his patients. I had an ED physician prescribe me a short taper of Librium to take home and it was not nearly enough to keep me out of the woods as I had a major tonic-clonic seizure two days out of the hospital. The protocol was severely mismanaged and it led to me almost dying. I followed their direction to the T and all I got for it was a seizure, trip back to the hospital and a huge hematoma on my head from flapping around while seizing up. Dudes like this are part of the problem. They care more about being right than being kind.
