Is Apple trackpad any special?

It’s just so smooth and handles gestures better than trackpads on any other laptops. Scrolling or zooming in/out with two fingers really highlights this. Also…it’s huge.

Its not just the great trackpad… its also the fact that macOS was built keeping trackpad in mind… In the last 3 years I have been using mac, I have used a mouse like 2 times and always defaulted back to trackpad immediately… on windows, its the exact opposite

You don’t realize how good Mac trackpads are until you go back to a Windows laptop for a few hours.

I think its precision and the syncronisation of your finger with the cursor make it the best trackpad in the world.

haptics also on apple watch are crazy. the dial is free rotating but i thought it wasn’t bc haptics simulate grooves

I'm not using a mouse anymore since i switched to mac, and I use photoshop and illustrator alot. Apple trackpads are the best

Got a macbook pro 2019 like 2 weeks ago and i still cant process how the trackpad is actually haptic and not an actual clicking

I legitimately had to prove it at least twice with some non conducting things that the Apple trackpad isn’t in fact an actual button. They just wouldn’t believe it was haptic feedback

Heck, even my 2017 MacBook Air's smaller trackpad with no haptics feels better than most of the Windows Laptops out there!!

I'll never own an iPhone but when I had a 2010 MacBook Pro it was the best trackpad ever.

It’s the perfect balance between an amazing peice of hardware and good software. macOS has a way to make even the worst trackpads useable, however when mixed with an amazing trackpad, it is absolutely amazing

Not to mention you can press harder for a second click for additional features like lookup

Personally, it’s great because of its reliability. It works 99% of the time, and does what you always mean to do.

I knew exactly why i waned to spend 2k on a Laptop. I got the MacBook Pro 2023 and it was def worth the money. The Keyboard is very nice, the Trackpad feels so good, and you dont even notice that its solid state, the haptics are great.

and the fact that you can write your signature there in preview pdf file... as if it's a paper. also i think apple made it huge and useful for portability, so you don't need a mouse when travelling

On pretty much all windows laptops the trackpads are either too small, with terrible latency or accuracy, are made out of greesy plastic or in general terribly configured and tuned and there is always something bothering me about them.
On my MacBook I don't even notice I'm using a trackpad which is the damn goal...
