The basic ingredients for making puff puffs are flour, yeast, sugar, water and salt. However, there can be some alterations to the ingredients. In place of yeast, baking powder or baking soda can be used. Interestingly, some folks simply use the self-raising flour simply to cut short all the hurdles of adding any raising agents.
Bear in mind that you can adjust the liquid content of this recipe to suit the consistency you desire. If you want the puff puff to come out thicker, then reduce the quantity of water and vice versa.
