With the Ukraine war approaching seven months and with no end in sight, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday signed an executive order declaring “partial mobilisation”.
While declaring this mobilization on Wednesday, Putin also stated that Moscow would respond with the might of all its vast arsenal if the West pursued what he called its "nuclear blackmail" over the conflict there. First Russian mobilization since World War II.
Russian-appointed officials call for a referendum in Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia oblasts. West calls it a sham.
