An ideal classical-style piece for your holiday program, Prokofiev's sleigh ride is an energetic, familiar tune that translates wonderfully for string orchestra. I’m glad I left orchestra before my high school played this because I will say they ruined this song. Except the cellos and bases did good, the violins mainly ruined it. Also the percussionist in the back playing with them during the concert we’re trying to not laugh from how bad they sounded. And guess what it’s on recording😂.
