There are thousands of remedies for low back pain. Most are scams. In this video renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Dan Lieberman explains what science says you should and shouldn't do to treat your low back pain and finally find relief.

Guidelines based on reputable science recommend modalities (massage, acupuncture, manipulation), moist heat, and NSAID medications or muscle relaxants for 3 weeks at home before seeing a medical or chiropractic doctor.

Dr. Lieberman goes through the appropriate time frame for getting an x-ray, physical therapy, and magnetic resonance imaging. By six weeks you'll be seeing a pain doctor, and a surgeon as appropriate at 9 weeks. The course of treatment ends at 12 weeks.

I have done all the things you said. I have a pain clinic PA. I could have surgery, but I haven't seen much success in that. I have spinal stenosis. I have had 3 cervical fusions. I also have neuropathy.

Hi, I had L4-L5-S1 herniated disc low back pain 18 months ago. and pain was radiating down left leg to Toe (Sciatica). weakness, tingling, pain period etc all gone. Now I don't have any weakness OR mobility problem right now.
But i still have burning sensation in my leg and goes to Toe. Just had my last MRI. it showed improvement in disc herniation but still showing pinched nerve
should I have epidural shot OR ozone Disc injection?

Hello, I have herniated disc problem at L5-S1. I could not walk, sit or lay down because of the pain for the 6 weeks. I had a huge burging pulposu because of herniated disc according to MRI result. Then I started walking slowly for the next 6 weeks with pain. Then I got 4 epidural injection in total. I have been getting better since then. I don't have any problem right now. 8 months has passed since the first day of herniated disc. 5 months has passed after the getting last epidural injection shot. I still have a strong fear that pain may come back again. I am walking everyday regularly. I used to be gym rat. Now, should I go to gym and do my regular body building programme? What do you suggest me? Should I wait 1 more year? Thank you in advance for the answer!

Hi, i'm 51, 3 years ago i had an herniated disk L5-S1 with sciatica on my right leg. Actually, i don't have a real problem with mobility or weakness, but i still have burning sensation in my leg probably because my nerve is pinched. On the last MRI, my disk herniation is better but still pinching nerve ( foramen ).
After all this time with cronic pain ? , surgery is an option ? Or it's too late ?
Thank you for your answer. Greetings from Argentina :)
