In this video I share with you some helpful dynamo tricks, that I picked up over the years.
1) Duplicate node by pressing Ctrl + drag the existing node
2) Tidy up nodes with right-click -- align nodes
3) Reassign output paths from one node to another with Shift
4) Double-click for code block, put function in a code block, call function in the script

Hi I am an architect in Washington DC. I am usually involved in the “front end” design work at my firm (a firm of about 125 people). I have largely thought myself revit and continue to learn everyday.
I was happy to learn you are in Munich because that’s is a place where we have been doing some work. Munich is a lovely place! Best of luck with your channel.

Great tips! started out in auditing with a real addiction to excel and macros and then went into architecture. When I saw that dynamo could be used within Revit, it was such a great way to bring that side of my brain back into finding quicker or easier ways to do something. Where are you from and is the accent from time spent in the UK? I’m South African and spent time in London and now in Melbourne so who know what I sound like

🙏Thanks for this helpful tutorial. I want to change the calculation option in Revit
(Path =>
1. Systems(tab) ->
2. Mechanical Settings ->
3. Pipe Setting ->
4. Calculation ->
5. Flow(tab) ->
6. Calculation Method)

from "the 2012 International Plumbing Code (IPC) Table E103.3 (3)" to custom fixture flow rate/table.

👉 How would you advise me, please?
👉 Can I use Dynamo to change input/references like IPC Table E103.3 (3)?

Thanks

I am a civil engineer from Germany and working as BIM Manager for one of the biggest GC's in Europe.
One of my hardest tasks it was to transform IFC breakthroughs into Revit breakthroughs with dynamo. Furthermore I created some dyn-scripts to create BCFs for each breakthrough (automatically). Within dynamo I can read the collected information from the BCF platform to put some important information back into my breakthrough instances to use them for other bim-based topics.
I like dynamo and work with a lot. Thank you for showing me these cool and helpful tips :)
