The reason Lucien aged so horribly at first was probably because shooting the young master chief made him stress so hard he looked like that the next day. Building the spire isn't as stressful I suppose.

Another thing to note for Hal's rifle: it shoots 3 bullets per shot, and if all 3 shots hit your target it applies a pretty serious damage multiplier to it

You should have picked the flame spell as your spell at the start, Master Chief can use Flame Grenades in Halo 3, so the Fireball you lob with the flame spell's directional input makes a good substitute for it.
