This happens to me about once a year. My immediate go-to is lay down with feet elevated and deep breaths (and also sipping on juice if it’s available). Within 5-10 minutes my heart will regulate itself but the anxiety I feel afterward lasts a while. It’s so scary when it happens, with the heart speeding up and slowing down and skipping beats. I feel for those who suffer from this on a frequent basis. ❤

I've been jolted awake to the hollow crushing feeling in my chest of an SVT episode many times as a result of sleep apnea. Sometimes those Vagas maneuvers work well and other times it takes a bolus push of adenosine a few times to correct the rhythm. Afib on the other hand is another monster because it's harder to detect and ending episode of afib is tricky even with magnesium and taurine supplementation.
If you have enough of them you can feel the difference in the rhythm based off of how they make your body feel and react without looking at the 12 leads on a monitor.

Arrhythmia is one of the scariest things, and our poor modern diet and lifestyle makes them inevitable

I usually go into afib after heavy drinking. And in two occasions I reversed afib by going up the stairs 5 levels . My heart accelerated 200 beats per minute, but some how it rebooted my normal heart rhythm.

Wow very interesting info!- I had a sever A fib 2 nights ago in public, heart rate shot form normal to 180-190 and was all over the place for 4 hours, terrifying, rushed to ER for 48 hours had to be given Cardizem for 8 hour drip to bring it down. Never had this issue in my life until after I had Covid in 2021... strange..

When I get afib I go into the shower and let cold water run on the back of my neck and it takes me out of afib.

I "enjoyed" this horrific malady for six years ... felt like an earthquake going off in my heart, 4-5 times a week. MISERABLE. Finally had an ablation. Fixed it. Get it!
And get Jesus, while you're at it. He is coming soon for his church and you do NOT want to be left here for what's coming.

I had my first Afib about 2 months ago. Lasted about 8 hours before I went back to normal. I have had two very short episodes since that I noticed. The first one lasted only a minute or two, then HR went back to normal. I then had one last night where it felt more like the very first attack. HR 150+. After about 10 minutes, I had read about trying to blow out air with your mouth closed. I tried it and moments later my HR dropped. Maybe it worked or it was coincidence and it was going to stop without me doing it. Afib is weird. All of a sudden it is a thing and I don't know why. I exercise almost every day, eat pretty healthy but need to lose 30 lbs. I am going to get treated for mild sleep apnea. I just don't want it to progress where it is common or the episodes are for long period of time. Of course, I wish it wouldn't happen at all. Still researching.

Do you recommend taking lithium every day? Or is it more of a pill in the pocket type strategy
