In supreme court, in Sept 2023, NMC has submitted new guidelines formulated by its expert commiee regarding admission of students with specified disabilities under the rights of persons with disabilities act, 2016 with respect to admission in mbbs degree courses wrt qouta for MENTALLY ILL under PwD category in the Civil writ petition No 1093 /2023 pending in supreme court. .
