How To Put Folder Files in Any Order You Want

If anyone is reordering mp3 files, as long as there aren't too many, I've found something that works for me: Select view, sort by, then choose columns. Select composers. Now use an mp3 tag editor (I used mp3tag and that was easy) and in the order you want, put composers in the alphabetical order (e.g the first song you want in the list composer to be "a", the second "b", so on). If you don't care about composer data (composer name doesn't show up in my car or on my xbox). Then once you've done it in the order you want (and make sure to save the edits) you go back to the folder and you'll see you can choose to order it by composers. Do that and it should be in the right order.

Yeah but I think if you were to lets say places Files that was going from 1 to 10.. well when you get to 10 it will be the second File in that order, that's what happened to me trying to put Pictures in a specific order, its 2018 we should have the option to place our files in any order we want, unless i'm missing something.

I don't get why developers are ruining all the good features we had in past.. It is impossible to work with large amount of textures with a specific names in game folders on the latest windows if you're game developer.

What your friend was talking about was a feature that was available in Windows XP. They removed it in Windows 7, but at least there was a script for it. I could not find any script for Windows 10 or 11. This feature allowed you to organize your pictures in any order within the same folder by just simply dragging and dropping it in the place where you wanted next to what ever picture you wanted without the need of typing or messing with any other settings.

Thank you! This helped me and I have a Mac. Right click in the folder and go to "sort by" and choose "name"or "date", etc., and it lines everything up nicely 😁👍

If you downloading leaks just rename the file and put numbers before the song name and it will put them in order in the folder

What if I dont want numbers in the names? Is there a number I can put in the file itself?

from 1 to 9 is ok when i hit no 10 it don't work can you help thanks

After 9 when i type 10 the 10th file go to 2nd number. Fix this problem too.
