TRIP REPORT | I Would Never Imagined This! | EasyJet A320 | Manchester to Mallorca

EasyJet Trip Report flying from Manchester to Mallorca onboard one of the Easyjet A320 on a nice summer afternoon.

A very comfortable flight with onboard the Easyjet Airbus A320 from Manchester to Palma de Mallorca. The service was ok and the crew was paying a lot of attention to the passengers during the whole flight.

The problem is that the main reason why this flight was so comfortable was the very low amount of passengers on it. We were less than 50 passengers on an Airbus A320 on a flight to Mallorca: in other words, one of the most popular beach destinations in all the UK. While airplanes from the EU to Mallorca were sold out days ahead, flights from the UK were at less than 30-40%.

UK aviation sector clearly needs more stimulus and fewer restrictions. In my honest opinion, the UK should ease the travel restrictions to something like what, since July 2021, the EU applies: no tests or quarantines for nobody that is vaccinated or has one negative test. That's the only way, in my opinion, to give some oxygen to what, a few years ago, was proudly one of the best aviation sectors in Europe and, probably, the whole world.
(Luckily, at the moment I upload this Trip Report, the restrictions are being eased and aviation is getting better also in the UK. Too late in my opinion).

I enjoyed the whole video.
Remarkable things in this video were the great view on the galley inserts in the fresh orange colors, the ambulift at the end, and of course the approaching jet bridge. Impressive, big, expensive piece of equipment.

Last time I was at Manchester, it was the day when Monarch airlines ceased trading. There were around 10 passengers and two police officers in the terminal. So sad to look out over the apron and see around 12 planes parked up at the perimeter fence. Good vid, as always.
