The city plans to shut off access and clear a homeless encampment in Humboldt Park Friday.

I'm glad they're getting some of these people into housing. I hope that all of them are housed soon. I know what it's like to be homeless. I was homeless, sleeping on the street and then an abandoned hotel, for just a few weeks. It was something that I'll never forget.
