there is a huge problem. the tire has a flat surface. the main method of turning on a bicycle requires leaning while turning the handle bars, meaning that with these any sharp turns would leave you on the ground.

I've actually used airless bike tires of this type. The worst thing about them is trying to get them to fit on to the rim so the fact that yours comes in sections is pretty awesome.
