The Air Force’s annual Tian Long exercises are now in their second day, amid heightened military harassment from China. On Tuesday, Taiwan’s Army was spotted setting up for a drill in New Taipei’s Tamsui District.

On a grassy field, there are what appear to be 105 millimeter howitzers and surface-to-air missiles covered in camouflage. Over at Fisherman’s Wharf, soldiers have been seen on patrol, as an excavator works the land near an Avenger air defense system. The 6th Army Command says it’s preparing for a routine exercise that will be adjusted based on changes in the military situation. According to reports, the military is working on relocating an array of Hsiung Feng III missiles to Tamsui.
