I had a Fed 4, about 25 years ago, snd I was very impressed with the sharpness of the Industar lens.

Thank you so much! I found the Fed 3 for a good price on eBay and your video gave me the confidence i needed to take the plunge and buy it! Can't wait to start experimenting with my very first film camera!

У меня нет именно камеры фэд-3, но есть пара фэд-5. Они похожи, только во второй имеется селеновый экспонометр. Обьектив этих камер И+61лд считается резким. Добавление лантана в стекло делает это хорошим портретным обьективом

When I got my fed 3, it didn’t have a take up spool. I read that I could use a take up spool from a roll of film that I would have to discard but I’d rather not waste a roll. Some people don’t use a take up spool online. The right side where the slotted rod is, is the long version. What would be a better choice?

I accidentally adjusted my shutter before shooting. Now my film counter seems messed up. Is this something that is repairable?

Later versions of the FED 3 have no spool. They have a longer pipe with a slit in to take the film.

I think I would prefer the FED 2...as for slow speeds you can either guess them using B settings or use a more up to the minute electronic camera... slow speeds can cause problems on mechanical cameras... and films we find have a wide exposure latitude.??

They also come with a radioactive charge lol. True story, I've seen YouTubers test them. They are WWII cameras. I'm still getting one though lol.
