HELLO! In this video I show how I made a cute chibi 3D vtuber model for FREE in 2 weeks, and I explain how to make a model from scratch on your own by using various softwares like Krita, Blender, and Unity. The 3D models that I make are for VTubers, for people who play VRChat and even for gamedev! If you're interested in VTubing or VRChat or simply want a cute 3D model to play with, please make sure to visit my Ko-fi!! More entertaining (hopefully) tutorials like these will come out as soon as another chibi 3D model has been designed :3

The models you make are all so cute, even though I'm terrible at games of chance, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Anyway, good luck to everyone participating to the giveaway <3

You know what, this has inspired me to continue my blender journey, thank u. Edit 1: I have now been working on my first donut for 12 hours in one sitting, I'm on part 11 of the tutorial now. (This is my 5th attempt the last year, ive messed up or given up before part 2 every time before). It's 8 am now and I'm very tired so I'm gonna go sleep for a little bit then I'll finish it when I wake up, goodnight! <33 (I'm gonna continue updating this comment) Edit 2: i’ve been having a few bad days and I’ve been losing motivation a bit but reading this has motivated me so thank you so much I will now continue my journey Edit 3: I just spent 19 hours making my first world for vrchat.. in one sitting XD I NEED sleep haha, its not a great world but im proud of all the stuff i was able to learn today/night, I really wanna start making another world now cause I understand how to do it so I can probably do it way faster now, but I think I should go to sleep instead lol godnight Edit. 4 I’ve learned to make hair from scratch, rig hair, weight paint, swap heads, swap clothes, edit heads, edit bodies and much more, I’m finally confident enough to start doing commissions on simple things c: im thinking my next project will be to make an avatar from scratch, it’s really intimidating tho wish me luck! (I will be back!! <3)

Your level of adorableness should be illegal! Nothing has made me want a cute 3D model more than is video. Here's to hoping you have a long and successful YouTube career ahead of you :)

i appreciate the down-to-earth nature of the video. Despite giving off amateur vibes, it is very informational and relatable

SO CUTE, also I loved your editing!

So, there is actually a fix for the MToon outlines on the head. You need an outline sampler texture map, so basically, you just paint a texture map on your character's face that will dictate the outline strength based on the color value, so if you paint the eyes and mouth in black it will assign the value of 0, so no outlines, and leave it as white everywhere else that you want outlines, or grey if you want something in-between, once you're done you just have to throw it in the Width texture map slot.

I'm a game art student and I make 3D models and I think what you are doing is definitely close to it, therefore I think you could find a lot of helpful videos about retopology to make you mesh easier to cut and have a clean map for your UVs. it takes a bit of time but it will make everything flow much better and it's easier to work with since you will only end up with quads or triangles. Love your video~♥

I really loved your videos, the editing, making, and almost everything but can you make a video walk through in all the apps included to make a vtuber model? It would be nice to see the apps and knowing how to use. I look forward to the giveaway

I paused as you went along and did the steps myself and that helped a TON.

This was really interesting and informative! :OO when I clicked I thought you were going to use something akin to Vroid or something, so I was surprised to see you make them from scratch! It was also really nice seeing the process :D

For someone who learned this in 4 months your doing a damn good job!
Keep it up! I love your flowy movements and your thought process for this model.

Even as you mentioned you didnt know if you are doing it correctly, you always found a way around it!

Good stuff, once I'm done building my PC I'll try my hand at blender and such. Even if I'm not interested in becoming a vtuber, knowing how to make 3D models looks useful and to a degree fun if you don't mind the headaches. 😮👌

I appreciate the various professional mindsets here. You as an artist, struggles with what makes you see the model as right or what looks good and that you'd recommend to people as "what I think you'd look great in". Next, you as an engineer, when it comes to rigging and fine tuning the mesh shape pre rendering with your experience with what looks good and cleaned up so it'll work well. Next, you as a teacher, being patient with us being the learners. I really love this video and you in the entirety. Well done. IOU many sanitised, platonic headpats
