Back in 92 running 5.4 to 60 and the quarter-mile under 14 at 104 mph is super strong performance ..keep in mind back then if a car did 0-60 under 8 seconds it was considered fast..5.4 for the time was booking..shit...still is

I have been waiting for you to post this. I had two LT1 Corvettes. A 94 Polo Green on tan and 95 Admiral Blue. Both 6 speed manuals. Good value even in today’s crazy market. Get a 94 and up for the upgraded interior. I did over 100 track days at Pocono (shown here) and Limerock and the car holds up as long as you upgrade the brakes. I love these retrp videos

Truly one of GM's best efforts and one of the best cars of its time. Good old pushrod power 🔋. Those were the days.

LT1 in my 97 Camaro SS is still running like a champ with the original optispark. 74, 000 miles now. Torquey, amazing sounding engines

I still like the ZR1 C4 Corvette. One of my favorite Corvettes as a kid.

I still currently own a teal 1995 Corvette ZR1 with 28K miles. Originally owned by my grandfather. My uncle Scott has a white 1992 Corvette LT1 C4 Corvette he bought recently and loves it

I have an LT1 in my '94 Z28 and I love that motor!! A great improvement over the previous L98 which I used to love as well.

Love C4s, the ZR-1 is my favorite sports car ever, though an LT-1 would thoroughly scratch the itch.

C4's represent some of the best bang for the buck in the sports car world.

I love the unique sound of the LT-1. That exhaust sound from 2:00-2:07 was gnarly

I don't care how old they get, there is nothing like a 91-96 C4 in style. Such an iconic American staple. The LT-1 made the 90s a fun time for GM, with F-Bodies delivering a massive punch to the Mustang for a whole decade. Then similar architecture made the 94-96 GM fullsize sedans powerhouses for their day.

It's crazy how long that body style lasted! Must have looked very modern in 1983! Last one was 1996!!

I enjoy my 1993 Corvette as often as I can. Excellent performance for the price! Tell Ben Davis I never got my Motorweek shirt. 😪 -Glen

Aaah...the LT1 where it all began to truly turn around. No longer were we suffering under nanny state government overreach of the 1970's/1980's and we could finally have real cars with actual power. My first American muscle car was powered by the venerable LT1 V8 engine and she was stupidly fast when I got her. I got my 1994 25th Anniversary Trans-Am in 1996 at the tender age of 17. She passed everything but a gas station. ;)

Addendum- I love that last bit..."Does Chevy have anything else planned for the Corvette?" Oh yes they did and now the Corvette is synonymous with the super cars. I love American V8's! May deregulation come in and take down the scum at the EPA. May the V8 continue to wow us for another 50 years.

The early 90s were important for the Vette . ZR1 was a beast Halo car for GM. The LT1 brought more performance and reliability. Handling was always good but became world class . You could still be competitive at any track day with a 92 Corvette, with new rubber and a few simple power upgrades .

Thank you bringing more of the old GM footage to share. I have been watching the marathons as well. I hope to see more Oldsmobile footage like the Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LSS I saw on the marathon. Thank you for the efforts.

I miss my 94 and plan on getting another C4 with a 6 speed someday, These cars are such a joy to drive and for the price it doesn't get any better.
