there is an excellent show on using men's recycled linen shirts on Catbird quilts. The differences in how the fabrics act and which patterns work best is fascinating. I'd like to find a similar show on flannel and/or wool.

I make my own “Bloc Loc” type ruler with a few layers of 3M Transpore Surgical tape.

My first job was for a woman named Eileen. She went to a 1 room school in North Dakota. There were 7 "Effies" in the class. Her first name was "Effie" and the teacher asked what her middle name was. She was Eileen the rest of her life and was grateful to be relieved of her given first name.
