Tragic. As if the people of Iraq haven't suffered enough. Hope it was smoke and not fire that took them. I live on the 21st floor of a building without sprinklers but with all burnable carpet everywhere. Fire is never far from my thoughts.

Never ever, EVER smoke near an oxygen tank, or anything like that. The cause of this fire may never be known, but the severity of it is almost certainly due to the presence of the oxygen tanks in the ICU. :(

Definitely one place you ever want to see a fire in.... It's imperative to have the highest levels of fire prevention, and indeed suppression available in hospital's.
