I love Kathleen Lights but I'm not opposed to criticism. I'm just confused how anyone was in the wrong here? I could see people being mad if someone pulled the cover off of Kathleen Light's palette and it was a palette they had already done but Lumina never launched? I could also see people being mad if Colourpop reused a palette they had done, marketing it as a "different" palette but that also wasn't the case.

If anything the "You Had Me At Hello" Palette stole from Kathleen Light's design. I personally think Colourpop should recycle palettes that don't go through. It'd be a huge waste of packaging and money if they didn't cover up the pallettes that never went out. They're all the same package with different labeling so why not?

Also pertaining to her content, I don't think it's particularly unique but I really like her personality. She's really down to earth and definitely has her funny moments. Not to mention, if we're being shallow for a second, I just really like how her face looks with makeup. To me her looks are very wearable and cute.

You're entitled to your opinion and obviously, I can't knock anyone who can't get past the scandal. It's a personal choice whether you think that's forgivable. I don't think she's anywhere near perfect but I really think that people relate to her more than say other big beauty gurus. Her life is about friends and family, and she doesn't feel the need to move to LA to collab with a bunch of gurus (nothing wrong with that but the Mannys and Laura's of the world don't seem relatable.) Besides for the jaclyn hill thing she seems to stay in her lane.

I like KL. She's actually one of my favorites. Her looks are beautiful and natural. Looks that you can actually wear daily and re-create. I like her videos. Very old school and I feel she gives honest reviews. I just love her videos. Why can Kathleen lights get away with saying the n word and not say sorry for it. But Jeffree star has made many apologies on multiple platforms and people still mention how he is a racist. I constantly see comments like "pass. He's a racist" on pictures of his products, but never see that on her busted lil over priced nail polishes.
