Edelkrone SliderOne Pro Review - Brilliant or Bust?

Edelkrone's new SliderOne Pro is a fully motorized, portable slider for DSLR and mirrorless cameras, aimed at independent filmmakers and content creators...but is it any good? We take a look at this $589.99 piece of kit to see what all the fuss is about.

I've used this for the last year and haven't had any of those issues you mentioned. Works great for macro, product spots, tutorials, and even outdoor. My only issue has been the wind and that is of course understandable. I would never attach a microphone to my camera and mount it on the slider simply because it is motorized and I would think that it is self-evident that a motorized item would create noise.

Great video! Right now I'm "almost" happy with my SliderOne Pro. The "metallic noise" problem on descending shots (B to A) is a bit annoying, but you could avoid it...by only doing descending shots from A to B (kind of solution). Don't know if you ever made slides between 6-20° (tilt angle) from B to A. Specially with some payload on the slider the slider is a bit shaking & "stuttering". Seems to be known problem...hopefully they could fix it with some firmware updates (!). Right now the only solution by Edelkrone is "I would recommend you to use the SliderONE PRO on different incline angles". Maybe I'm stupid...but I still like the SliderOne Pro ;-)

You can also use it manually by using the allen key provided and loosening the screw next to the A side. You just want to make sure you tighten it when you are going to store it away.

Hi, great video, clean and precise. Some excellent points on the Slider Pro, I am about to purchase one and watching your video gave me some feedback and input. Looking forward to using this!

I have one and it’s time lapse feature is completely broken, you can’t rely on it to get through a sequence at all. It usually makes it half way then goes to the end of the slide and then keeps taking pictures while making a whining noise as the motor struggles as it forces itself at the end of it. So the time. Lapse, motion warp, and time warp features are useless, so bummed about it.

Great review! That connection problem is a serious bust. Thank you for pointing that out.

Sweet, thanks for the review man! I have a question: One of their videos shows the footage rotating while sliding. Is that possible with this?

Thanks - so helpful - I wouldn't have the time for connection problems - I shoot on my own - I was going to buy one for some real estate work - question - do you have any example clips online

Does the SliderOne Pro works as a manual slider also, or you can use it only motorized with the app? Thanks!
