New Tool to Increase Mental Focus and Energy

Low physical energy and lack of mental focus are two commons symptoms that can complicate recovery from past trauma. Dysregulation of the sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system (that form the autonomic nervous system) plays a role in suppressing energy and focus; healing them can support all aspects of recovery. In today's video I use and describe a new technology that aims to balance the sympathetic (fight or flight response) and parasympathetic (rest, revovery, sleep) nervous system, producing a state of calm, alert focus. Watch me apply the skin patch and describe the results!

You are hands down, the most helpful, relatable therapist/coach I've been blessed to have found. Personally, having CPTSD & being on the autism spectrum (a career neurotoxicologist) I've had difficulty in relinquishing my defensiveness (fearing judgement) with several therapeutic sources. Your sincerity & straightforward (albeit gentle) delivery has made all the difference in my ability to openly & eagerly understand these topics (in conjunction with my therapist) to foster discussion where I had previously hit a stalemate in my healing. Thank you for everything yiu do....I'm looking forward to enrolling in your online courses as a keystone in my ongoing therapy sessions.

It's amazing (and kind of eerie) how Anna's newest videos always touch on something I've been thinking about recently...

When I am in a brain fog situation especially after been abused I literally have the impression that my brain has been SWITCHED OFF. I completely lose the capacity to think and my mind goes blank... for my emotions don't even think about it, I start behaving like a child each time my emotions get triggered... brain fog is a serious issue, it is one of the worse sensation to have because it feels like you cannot even control your own body.

My problem is motivation + productivity. If it can get me to get up, clean my apt + do all the things normal people do like run out to the store or even wash up + take a shower without tremendous effort + determination, then it's probably worth a try.

Another common cause of brain fog is adrenal fatigue which is common with those with PTSD. Recovery involves regulating your blood sugar, giving up junk food and eaten small meals more often.

I just wanted to share that my new chiropractor, who works with my cardiologist treating my dysautonomias, let me know how they have been finding how PTSD will cause dysautonomias because it involves the Vagus nerve, which controls fight or flight.
Mental fog is just one of the crazy amount of symptoms you might get. There is hot/cold flashes, can't warm up smaller extremities, can't focus (mental fog), ringing in the ears, vertigo, fatigue, circadian rhythm out of sync, moody, reactiveness, nausea, weakness, tachycardia, dehydrated and very thirsty or retaining water...
So everyone, Ana is absolutely barking up the right tree.
The POTS and Gastroparesis, I developed is, first because I was born with EDS at a Beinghton scale of 9/9. But I also survived a lot of abuse and neglect.
After having the right information and help, plus this awesome chanel, I am doing so well 💕💕💕
Thank you Ana and everyone here!
❤️

Thank you for this. I also think our increased brain fog and depression comes from our increase in television watching. I've recently learned how much watching episode after episode of Netflix, etc. affects our brain. I'm sure it's a combination of so many things. I have found limiting any media in my life to be very helpful.

Brain fog is definitely something I struggle with. Especially since Covid

I have a TENS unit. I’m going to try it. I’ll research where to place the electrode pads because I do have to place 2 of those pads on my body to make it work. I actually questioned this awhile ago when I was learning about the Vagus nerve. Thank you for this!

When someone markets something it’s hard for viewers to decipher what is and isn’t “real”
A channel such as yours that doesn’t market very many things, it shows us it is real when you do choose to market something

Hi Anna, THANK YOU for posting those videos. I have tried therapy in the past but it seems the therapists just didn't quite get it. Of course, I didn't retain nor benefited from the sessions as much as I had hoped. Since I've been laid off from my promising visa job and had to relocate back to my home country (after having left there when I was a teen many years ago), had to sell my properties on short notice, and had my heart broken/ shattered from a bad and abusive relationship, all occurred in 6 weeks last year. I have searched for help endlessly and I'm so glad I found your channel! For years, I have felt powerless. You have put words in describing the chronic struggles I experienced and given me a voice. I have watched and rewatched some of your videos. Each time, the lessons have sunk in a little deeper. You are like a parent or a role model I never had, assertive, yet gentle; speaking the truth and to the point; loving and making your viewers (me) feel seen, heard, and safe to be vulnerable with myself and my past mistakes. I really appreciate the time and work you put in to create those videos. I'm a bit scared but took a leap of faith and purchased your course as a gift for myself today. I'm excited to start the journey and eventually get out of the ditch I dug for myself. Thank you again. 🌱

I just love that you are doing the research for us to find this new technology. As someone who scores a seven on the ace test, I am very lucky to not struggle with brain fog. It's the building relationships and dysregulation that plagues me. I'm looking forward to some new technology for those fronts.

I also had a dissection of my inner carotid artery in my neck at 42..I'm thinking and very much convinced that it was from all the stress I endured for over 2 decades. Yeah that was it🙂

Thank you so so much for this. I have a triple whammy unfortunately when it comes to brain fog. I have significant ADD, CPTSD and Sjogren’s syndrome which is an auto immune disease that causes significant brain fog. My son-in-law is a neurosurgery resident - I was so excited after watching this I sent him the link I’m anxious to get his response and I will share I am absolutely willing to try anything right now my brain fog has become significantly worse within the last couple of months it is inhibiting many things in my daily functioning.

Hope that this info will be useful for all of us. I found online several scientific researches for "kirtan kriya". These studies shows that practicing of this easy kriya for 12 minutes per day after 12 weeks changes literally visibly how the brain works...in people with PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADD, BPD etc. plus seems to protect the brain from Alzheimer's desease. It's very easy to practice and I have to say after 5 days that some of my psychosomatic anxiety issues are already getting a bit better. Seems to have a "security blanket" effect.

Thanks, Anna for the wonderful service you are doing on your channel. I've learned more here in the last few months than I had in years searching for answers to why I had the problems I seemed to be not able to resolve. I do hope that we all will be open-minded enough about the information in this video to realize that you have investigated a product that might be suitable for some, maybe not all, as ANOTHER OPTION to continue our healing journey. I saw another YT video today on the vagus nerve, a subject that I have been drawn to in the past few weeks. It was called Vegas Nerve Massage by Doc Snipes. It clearly explained even more physical symptoms that are felt when we're in emotional dysregulation.
Trauma is so damaging. I just thank God that the resources to start the healing process are now so readily available. Together, we can heal and find our peaceful place, if we use the tools that we now know about.
Love Ya, Anna! Keep up the outstanding work.

By accident I found citrus shower gels/scents etc, especially lemon and lime, bring me back to me providing more focus and alertness and clearing the fog and lethargy.

what I don't like about this is that they could have chosen to make a rechargable version, but instead they are making throw-away patches that cause overspending and environmental pollution just to make more money
