Also I remember junkyard wars, it was a good series where contestants would have to construct a vehicle or device to achieve an objective e.g. a fireman's boat.

You should each out to Robert Llewelyn (host of the original Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars), he's running Fully Charged on Youtube now and i am sure would be down for a collab, esp if he can promote electric tech (EVs/Solar) with you somehow. He's deeply into recycling and re-use and would LOVE that he was part of inspiring this.

Junkyard wars was adapted from the uk version scrapheap challenge which was hosted by the same guy who played cryton on red dwarf I miss that show so much
