[FSX SE] VIETNAM ERA: F-4B Phantom II 'Aboard The Coral Sea'

A long time in the making, finally I can show off the brand new (payware) SimWorks Studios F-4B Phantom II, AND the carrier that comes with it- CV-43, the USS Coral Sea!

Without a doubt this is the most famous fighter of the Vietnam Era, and I intend to do multiple episodes on it. For this "official" Vietnam Era episode, we will examine the history of this illustrious bird with the US Navy, and we'll delve into some of the history of the ship it flew from. Loved seeing the Sundowner F4! I was with VF-111 from 76-77. We were supposed to sail on the Coral Sea but wound up sailing with the Franklin D Roosevelt (CV42) on her last curise before being turned into razor blades. Great squadron full of great people.

I had the opportunity while stationed in the Air Force at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge, we had an airshow with all of the NATO show teams, we were honored by having both the Blue Angles, and the Thunderbirds, in F-4s, . for two days of shows, absolute heaven.

My grandfather was on the '71-'72 WESTPAC. He was a Phantom RIO in VF-111 and he actually logged time in BuNo. 153019!! Awesome video and loved to see a familiar aircraft

I did two tours aboard the Coral Sea, ‘66-67 and ‘68-69, Air-Ops, (Air traffic control). Video brings memories. Well done.

A interesting fact about the F-4 FGR.2 (british designation). The phantom II was one of the only American built planes to operate in both RAF and Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm service at the same time.

What I meant was the T.1 model is used for basic pilot training and the T.2 is used for training with weapons like aden cannons, AIM-9's and rockets, etc.

hi, great vid. I was wondering if you plan on making a tutorial on how to use the nose wheel steering on the sim aircraft. I bought the SWS F-4 a day ago and can not get it to steer around on the tarmac

Ha, I actually have this flight control stick handle for an F4 / Corsair and others i assume, i forgot how and where i acquired it but then I had a trim tab for a B-52 also, dumpster treasures from living so close to Nellis, AFB maybe
