Downloading VMware Workstation Pro feels like embarking on an epic quest in a video game. Seriously, when free software for personal use needs a full YouTube video tutorial, you know something's off. Windows Hyper-V works just fine for me. No thanks, VMware. And I bet they'll bombard you with deals and promos to upgrade with tons of ads.

Watching this video, even though the host tries to be serious, it's almost a joke how many clicks and hoops you have to jump through to download the software. Sometimes, even big corporations show us how not to do things. This video is a blueprint for how not to set up a download link.

they actually simplified the process (slightly). yes you still have to sign up for an account but when you go back and put in your login information, it will direct you straight to the download page. I f you are downloading for personal use it will no longer bring up the license number page either.
