Choosing a nursing specialty as a new grad nurse can be tough because new grad nurses don't have much experience in the different nursing specialties to make a clear decision. Hopefully this video can help make that transition a little easier for you.

If you know what you want go for it! No need to get burnt out in medsurge if you can get into the specialty you want as a gn!

I'm a Student Nurse in a cardiac progressive care unit. I completely agree with you on this. We get such a variety of patients. Pre-open heart, Post open heart, normal cardiac patients, over flow.. its a new day every day and I love my floor!!

Hi Crosby, loving your channel! sorry to go a bit off topic here, but could you explain in a nutshell the difference between PCT and RNs? Especially in ER, but also other fields. It seems that as a PCT you might actually get closer to the patient and be a bit more hands-on, while as a nurse the medical side is stronger..? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

Hey Crosby, I was just wondering if you're missing the ER? Or maybe you are still in a bit of time. Are you enjoying teaching? I'm thinking about teaching and before biting off the chunk of time and expense to get the MSN, I'm wondering your thoughts on it up to this point. Thanks and thanks for the content! Ryan
