Thanks! I'm wanting a MIDI for something really basic - just to have fun with music and be able to play a basic melody easily when I'm writing a song. In a phone game I like, there's a very basic music instrument set up with a grid system for each note, and I'm astounded at how intuitive it is for me compared to any other instrument I play irl. (I'm a hobbyist at best... I just dabble.) I'm just trying to find a way of recreating that with an actual physical "instrument" (push button instead of touch screen and usable outside of that one phone game). This video emphasized to me that the "instrument" is more the software than the keyboard, which is the controller. Seems important to know lol.
