Excel Page Break Preview and Inserting Page Breaks

Excel has three views in the status bar - Normal, Page Layout, and Page Break Preview. We will look at using Page Break Preview to move and lose page breaks and use the Insert Tab to Insert Page Breaks and Reset All Page Breaks. In Page Break Preview, dashed lines are page breaks Excel automatically added. Solid lines are page breaks that were added manually.

Great. A skill that every user needs. Good page layout is as both an art as a skill--jt requires both. In addition I find CHOOSECOLS a great way to select not-necessarily-contiguous columns when laying out a report and then finding the page breaks. I can then adjust the width of the report by simply adding, deleting or substiuting column index values in the CHOOSECOLS function. Plus its a very easy function for beginners!

Hi Chris, thanks for this video. Is it possible to set a page break per the printing page size? I received a sheet with multiple tabs. Going through each tab and changing the page breaks is a tedious task, which i am willing to do but i am not sure if the final print be suitable for letter size or not.

Question, I have page breaks set on a pivot table to print, when I insert new data the page breaks do not change, I need the page breaks to change when new data is entered. How do I set the breaks to automatically change?

Sorry Chris, but I did exactly what you showed in terms 'reseting' page breaks and it got of most of the extra pages, but some of the 'breaks' are still visible and just won't go away even when dragging the these page break lines.
