An introduction to elimination reaction mechanisms Part 2

Показать описание
In this tutorial we look at the E2 elimination and the competition it has with the SN2 substitution reaction. During the course of the tutorial we see how the orientation about H-C-C-X torsion angle plays a critical role in the E2 process, giving rise to the necessity of that torsion angle needing to be anti-periplanar.

This is a multi-part tutorial. The previous part covered the E1 mechanism and the following parts cover the Ei and E1cb elimination mechanisms, giving examples of where they are found in organic synthesis.

Hi Socrates, I certainly can do some videos on MO and MLCT theory. I've been meaning to do some crystal field and ligand field theory videos as well for a while so I'll do a few videos on this. Keep a look out for them...

Any videos about MO theory? In particular something related to organometallic complexes, MLCT, etc... It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
