At the 90th minute the mother of the family in front of me said to her friend "We have to go there are people queuing to leave already." Her little 5 year old daughter goes "What if the tillies score again?" 🥰

After the first half, i thought gosh we cant place the ball into goal. But that run from Raso in the second half was insane. Such a small player but so aggressive, at that pace it's either a forced foul and red card or a goal.

Great substitutions tonight with Wheeler headed goal and Vine assist for Raso. Have to give Tony G some credit for that.

I was at the game and it was a very enjoyable and family friendly atmosphere. That’s what stands out to me the most, all the young girls who love the Matildas and are inspired by them to play football.

Vine at the back: in games like this, this is where you want players to have such experiences (hear me out). In friendlies (where the end result doesn't matter like actual tournaments) when you mess up it acts as a wakeup call for how you act in certain situations, more than likely now she'll be cognisant of this play and know how to react differently next time. Had a blinder of a game otherwise.

Too much effort in trying to get Carpenter running to the by-line for a pull back cross.
The second goal proves that you can score through the middle. It was a great pass & vision from Vine with Raso's neat finish.
Still some lack of composure in front of goal.
Teams like the US & Germany won't give away as many chances as China did.

having watched the entire match my thoughts, the ball from Courtney Vine to set up that 2nd goal sealed her spot to Paris, Wheeler did what a sub should do she will go to Paris also. was dominated by the Matildas, oh how i wanted Heyman to score when she took on the Chinese defence it would have been goal of the year, she will go to Paris also. I dont know the rating of the Chinese team in Asia but they try to play some beautiful football also so i think Ante Milicec is doing a good job there, My player of the game goes to Alyssa Kennedy what an engine this lady has both in attack and defence, she like Raso and Fowler are so important to this team, yes we do miss Kerr and we are in the hardest division possible at the Olympics what with Germany and the USA, SO NOT EXPECTING MIRACLES BUT CROSSING MY FINGERS. Sometimes i do think the build up from the back is too slow that to me is a negative.
