Saisha has danced since she was a little girl. In a breath of fresh air that is as inspiring as it is poetic, she talks about growing up and shares stories from teaching dance to blind and visually challenged students, and the startling secret she learnt about happiness along the way.

Saisha Srivastava is a 20-year old student at Vassar College, New
York. She was born and raised in Kolkata, India. She is a dancer,
formally trained in jazz and ballet. She is also the founder of 20
Days of Rain, a project aimed at spreading happiness through dance.
Tying up with schools for blind and visually impaired students, she
and her group of instructors hope to bring positivity into the lives
of visually challenged youth, one dance workshop at a time.
Pursuing her Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Chinese, Saisha has
been a research associate with the Centre for Studies in International
Relations and Development (CSIRD), India, and is currently interning
with a financial consultancy firm in Shanghai, China.

One thing i learned from this video is, how much pain or sadness you have in your heart, mind or soul but, when, you see these type of blind people who don't lose hope and i am very amaze about how perfectly they are dancing with each other. Even, they are enjoying those life with dancing after having lots of struggles, sadness, broken heart and soul. So, I must say that, I've eyes, hands and legs and proper mind. So, why should i feel sad when these people are not losing those happiness even in worst condition. Salute to this girl who make them happier and rock on the dance floor.

What a beautiful young lady with a beautiful heart and mind! She recognizes the value in all people, and she will be a bright spot in these kids' lives that she'll always remember. I've noticed that TEDx talks in India are focused more on action than ego, and it's wonderful. This lady has substance to her, and her joy is palpable. She simply *is* happiness, and she's a leader. We need more of here on this little blue dot!

I just was curious what a young girl looking so beautiful young and fresh would possibly say something on happiness that no one has told you before. Have heard almost all spiritual gurus, but Saisha you have actually said something that no one has ever said about happiness the way you have said it.I would like to call this Saisha Happiness .You have created a brand of happiness that sprouts from love and the ripples of joy boomerang to the place where they started from. Its like the vastness of universe may make us feel we don't matter, but when the ripples of joy, ripple back to us, we experience that "we are the vast universe" and not an insignificant part of it.

This young women has hit precisely on what happiness is! The essence of giving yourself to another. This is pure and the most natural way to happiness. What you give always comes back. All you have to do is be there to begin it and accept it as it comes back to you.

I have watched this Ted Talk over the years ever since I first watched in 2015 and each time something new sticks out to me. Happiness is a choice. It is. You're a speck of dust in the universe, but that does not mean your emotions are invalid. You feel what you feel and the heart wants what it wants. If you feel a certain way about someone or something, never go back and contemplate that you felt incorrectly about it.

The hateful comments on here are sheer spiteful, this girl is really well spoken, is engaging, and inspiring.
Good luck in life, keep doing what your doing & I hope it all pays dividends in the future for yourself & those you like to help.

So beautiful! I just posted this comment when I shared this on social media: Well, that was unexpected. I just watched this random video and mid-way through it burst into tears. It's just so beautiful. This may be the best bit of "happiness" advice I've ever taken in. As someone who danced for many years, I also can't think of a better answer to the question "Why do you dance?" than this. "If man makes music then he must dance. I was just waiting." In this one video is encapsulated so much. What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? Does what I do in the world have value? Does my work matter? Is community service not essentially a sharing of happiness? And the secret the speaker mentions is true. "Happiness has a ripple effect."
