Fantastic interview! I lived in Spain in my youth and my mother was born there. Mexico and Spain have been on my short list and recently—as I cannot go anywhere at this time—I’ve strongly reconsidered Spain since Spanish culture is very familiar and delightful to me. The guest is very knowledgeable and helpful. I never visited Valencia, but I had placed it as my number 1 location. He kinda confirmed that for me. I love its proximity to the other places I love, including the Balearic Islands and Italy. Thank you! I love your new channel.

I do wish you had explored more the cost of housing there. When you asked him he only mentioned what his property tax was on his particular place which is not particularly helpful. I wish you would asked him specifically what an average rent or purchase price for a 1BR/2BR is. As a real estate agent for many years there he would be well equipped to answer that question. He's a very charming man. I've seen him often on House Hunters Int'l.

I’m not sure about his view on crime, I was robbed in Catalonia looking for a house last weekend. The realtor even admitted they have a gypsy problem.

We appreciate safety, in Spain in schools they teach us to respect tourists and foreign people, Spain is a very very safe place to live, except now in Catalonia, in Barcelona in particulary because of the nationalistic goverment , they are more interested in promoting the catalan language and independence, than in safety ( I have nothing against the catalan language I also speak it), but neighborhoods like El Raval, is a disgreace. Spain remains a safe country to live and retire, I agreed witj all it has been said.
