I don't know why apple fans are crying, atleast Samsung is intelligent enough to enhance a photo by using AI

Ngl I don't give a damn that Samsung uses AI to fake moon photos.
I just want a good looking photo of the moon and hey... They delivered

People tend to forget, that AI is already enhancing every single photo you are taking. Otherwise those crappy image sensors on your phone wouldn't be able to provide you with such crisp and high detailed shots. So all that Samsung is doing is just training that AI to be better with one specific object (the moon) then with the rest because if you didn't know, the moon always looks the same when viewed from earth.

Holy shit, this comment section is like PlayStation VS Xbox. Stop acting like your overpriced brick is better than the other person's overpriced brick.

I read on a long Reddit thread explaining it that you had to have Scene Optimizer on for it to appear

It is not adding details, it's just improving them

So many people have no idea how ai works, it doesn't add detail that's not there. The first video is proven fake, it enhances detail that's in the image and reduces any noise. The popular reddit post is easy to explain to, it uses the ai to deblur the image, its pretty easy to do bc it did math for each point in the photo to deblur it.
Read samsungs article people, that was not a white circle in the og video, it was a moon with the brightness turned up too high for the camera to see until he zoomed

Don’t keep too close.. you’re keeping it so close.. try keeping farther and try with 100x zoom XD 😊

"That moon was not mooning that day"

You actually can, Samsung’s AI looks for the craters so if you put some gray spots on the circle it would probably work

im sure in some circumstances, there were tests done of a white circle and the phone replicated the moon details onto it. but this can be turned off if you turn off the scene optimiser.

As an actual photographer, it’s not that I don’t find this cool and interesting, it’s that it blurs the line between a real photograph or a composite image (like something photoshopped).

You didn't use the 100x Space Zoom feature. I wonder whether it makes a difference.
