Why I really enjoyed Batman V Superman. It's not just a hero vs. hero movie, or a man vs. god movie. It's also has great moments like this, that shows why people love Superman. Just look at him, no matter how far away someone is, he'll save them. And the part where everyone is just gathering around Superman, and praising him like a God, is just so cinematic to me.

Zack Snyder really nailed the Jesus interpretation of Superman. As a Christian, I sometimes question if, when Jesus arrives in his second coming, will we trust that he is Jesus? After all, the ancient Jews had a hard time trusting Jesus as the Messiah. We can never really tell, so I don't blame them.

With Superman, the world will likely act the same way. People think that if Superman was in the real world that people would treat him like a Superhero. But the thing is, they are looking at Superman from the perspective that he is a comic book Superhero, so we expect him to act like one. But in reality, we can never really tell his motives, so the population will be dovided, the powers that be will shift. Here is a being that can destroy the Earth if he wanted to, do you think the governments are gonna be okay with a walking talking flying laser-shooting doomsday device just casually saving people? Governments will either try to destroy him or control him, but they know they can't do either of those things. That's why in BvS Ultimate Edition, we see a lot of journalists and press trying to paint Superman in a bad light, cause that's all they could really do, that's all the powers that be can ever truly do. The only ones that could do something to Superman are the smart people who look beyond politics (Lex Luthor), the deranged psycho who dresses as a Bat, and an ancient Amazon who gave humanity a chance.

Notice anything similar with these people? They all have humanity's best interest in mind. And yet 2 out of 3 of these people are now allied with Superman. In reality, if Superman does present himself on Earth, only a few people will understand him, and the rest of us will either be neutral or would fear him.

I just wish people new about what this meant forbiddingly. A figure that aims to “save” people in the name of something beyond politics. Remember that.
