About SIREN:
“Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

I think Ryn’s actress is amazing, the way she moves her head alone reminds me of fish, and she looks exactly how I used to imagine mermaids and sirens, sharp features with wide eyes.

I still absolutely love the concept of the siren song not even really sounding like it's coming out of their mouths, but more like it's all around the listener. Definitely comes across as a way to disorient prey, which suits the show's idea of mermaid being predators.

The way that Ben is so gentle with Ryn is just so heartwarming wanting to help her even after she attacked him he still wants to keep her safe and from what I've seen from the trailer they'll get closer.

Is there singing like how dolphins communicate with one another? I know in mythology a siren's song drove men to their death; they became so infatuated and "in love" they didn't realize that they had stored their ship onto the rocks and cause their own deaths. Clearly in this clip her song is influencing him in some way, his emotions... but does it have another purpose; it kinda reminds me of dolphins singing....

ironic how everyone when the trailer came out was like " I hope this isn't gonna end up with her falling in love with a human like the little mermaid" but now that the show is out everyone ships them together or want a love triangle

In episode two i saw how Ben was eager to protect Ryn even after She bit him after learning about his ancestor he doesn't want to be like Him Killing Mermaid's.
