Evans was told where the site of the palace was because a very small part of it had already been revealed and the area was known to contain extensive ruins under the soil. Ancient tablets found in South Bulgaria are written in the oldest European script found ever, German scientists say.

The tablets, unearthed near the Southern town of Kardzhali, are nearly 7, 000 years old, and bear the ancient script of the Cretan (Minoan) civilization, according to scientists from the University of Heidelberg, who examined the foundings. This is the Cretan writing, also known as Linear A script, which dates back to XV-XIV century B.C.

The discovery proves the theory of the Bulgarian archaeologists that the script on the foundings is one of the oldest known to humankind, the archaeologist Nikolay Ovcharov announced Wednesday.

What is even more amazing is that DNA studies from Lasithi area can be traced way back to the Minoans which is crazy. Genetic continuity still to this day.

Why do you portrait ancient Minoans as dark skinned when they portrayed themselves as WHITE skinned and painted with red ochre instead? Even portraying themselves as BLONDE painted with red ochre. When I was teaching World History to my 6th there was a LINE in the paragraph that said it all. They thrived in the Era of Taurus. That could also explain the "bull god." Just like the burning bush and the slaying of those that returned to worshiping the golden calf is a Biblical event that happened during the change of eras from Taurus to Aries. The people were worshiping the "rebirth" of Taurus instead of embracing the new era and law of Aries.

Interesting painting of a Bird head on a lions body @ 5.48. Ive always thought that the Sphinx has an incorrect, more recent human head, carved on it by more recent Egyptians (several 1000 years ago), as it is out of proportion to the rest of the sphinx. Perhaps the original Sphinx had the head of an eagle??
