Hey Rob,

You mentioned Obscuring Terrain during the visibility clarification. Something that's really important to note is that obscuring actually has no interaction at all really with visibility, as opposed to how it worked in 3rd Edition. Obscuring is just a flat "if you are benefitting from obscuring (whether it be from being wholly on obscuring terrain, or behind it) you cannot be targeted by shooting attacks."

Line of Sight / Visibility is not mentioned. So to counteract Obscuring, at present, you still only need one model to be able to draw a line that doesn't pass over Obscuring.

New player here! Thanks for your work, Rob! Your channel makes this game more welcoming.

I have the feeling with FAQs that we (the players) are also the ones to blame in this messy explaining thing: pls, I mean no ofense, but I think a vast amount of players don't read the core book rule in a comprehensive way. Ok, there is a lot to read and put into practice but I can tell that GW, answering question that are pretty clear in a literal application of the core rules, makes a mess that we could avoid just by reading.

Sure, some kind of wonky interactions could happen and have to be clarify but A LOT of answers are just reformulations of the rules and that's where GW messes what should not be messy in the first place.

It did always say in the rules that each model needed visibility to the target unit for its attacks to be allowed. It was just very confusing and unclear. But it did say it, it was always supposed to be each model needs visibility.

The KO assault boat change is a pretty big nerf for us tbh, but it probably needed to happen.

previously you could counter charge with the frigate if it was behind a screen that got charged, you would pull those units out of combat, re set them upand give them strikes first. it was op and busted

Thanks for this video Rob. It helps clarify what GW was trying to do.

Frigates were able to transport units out of combat vis counter charge. So someome could charge your balloons, then you countet charge transport those balloons and they gain always strike first.

Faq means they cant do this anymore

I called the Hexwraith (OC) adjustment weeks ago. I won't be surprised if they still get a huge price hike~

A second thing to note is they do provide a uniform awnser to the crit question. It's just that there are multple outcomes that come from that awnser. The awnser is follow the attack sequence. So crits autowound and crit 2 hits. Do not reslove because when you mis the other steps don't happen cause it ends. ( that would be two wound and save for crit 2 hits and the save step for crit autowound.) How ever even if you never get to those steps crit( mortal) still works cause it already skips those steps annyway. So the awnser is compleetly uniform but the outcomes are diffrent. That is not so strange is it in a game. Rolling a dice to hit is always unifrom to but the outcomes are not. You could mis or hit.

Hey Rob, I love your content. One thought, why should GW hire people for doing something you do for free for them xD

11:08 For Lumineth, if they have a strikes first unit, their opponent does not have a unit with strike first, and it’s the Lumineth players turn, does this mean they can swing 4 times? Strike first, fight immediately after. Then strike medium and fight immediately after?

Do you know where the Faction Terrian with movement is? Can't find them in AOS4.

Fyreslayers FAQ is so good. Literally read that ability and the runemasters ability to add +1 to run and charge rolls and told my friend “so it’s +1 to charge only because this is done in the charge phase”

The rule I was really hoping to be cleared up is: Can Lorai from the Blacktalons cast the spells in the normal Stormcast Eternals lore?

Currently as written each spell (including the SCE specific manifestations) say "pick a friendly Stormcast Eternals Wizard" and she doesn't have the Stormcast Eternals keyword. But this seems at odds with the rule that "every wizard in your army knows the spells of the lore you've chosen".
Right now if I want to run the Blacktalons I need to make sure I don't choose the SCE manifestation lore, or my wizard can't cast manifestations... it's weird.

The strike [time] abilities with "fight directly after" clarification is kind of silly. It should have just been allowed to override the unit's [time] bracket. It's not really that busted to do so, and is far less needlessly complicated.

An Open Beta test would have fixed so much of this crap.
